Being a bounty hunter means that you’re constantly exposed to danger, both during and after you’ve completed the contracts that keep food on the table. Playing as a lone money-driven killer has its appeal, but some Necromunda: Hired Gun players might be wondering whether co-op or multiplayer support lets them join forces or directly compete against their (mostly) human peers.
Developer Streum On Studio is no stranger to co-op, its previous game, Space Hulk: Deathwing shining when played alongside others. Necromunda: Hired Gun, however, goes for a different approach.
Necromunda: Hired Gun Lacks Multiplayer and Co-op
Since it was revealed, the game was marketed as one that would focus entirely on its single player campaign. This still stands at launch, since Necromunda: Hired Gun does not feature any form of co-op or multiplayer support.
Although you won’t be able to call upon your human friends in dire situations, you do have your own AI-controlled cyber-mastiff that can be ordered to murder your targets and customized with all manners of deadly parts.
Unfortunately, that’s as close as Necromunda: Hired Gun gets to having a co-op mode. It remains to be seen whether or not some form of multiplayer will be added in the future but, at launch, we’re getting a single player-only FPS.
If that isn’t a dealbreaker, you’ll want to drop by our Necromunda: Hired Gun review and check out our full impressions of Streum On Studio’s latest title.
