Users have massive problems with ATI and Saboteur. EA are ”digging into the issue”, with a possible CPU ”affinity process” workaround.
Got yourself some Nvidia? Then you’re okay. ”We are currently digging into the issue at hand & are working as fast as possible to find a solution,” posted EA on the forum.
”In some of our tests we have found one workaround that seems to allow users to run the game. Some have posted adjusting the affinity process via “Task Manager” but our fix truly puts the system in a 1 core mode and will allow you to run the game. Overall this is not a final fix, nor a perfectly stable fix, but it will allow you to run the game,” they offered.
Digital store Direct2Drive has slapped up a red lettered notice for The Saboteur, detailing that ”Windows 7, Vista and XP users with ATI 3K, 4K and 5K series graphics cards may temporarily experience compatibility issues,” reports Kotaku.
Not the best way to remember Pandemic Studios, who are totally not closed down but just ‘inherited’ by EALA, after major staff cuts. I’m Nvidia, so I’m alright Jack - you?
