PS3, Vita, VAIO PCs and Sony tablets are all compatible with the nasne. An app called ‘torne 4.0’ allows PS3 and Vita to communicate with it. Content can be streamed to devices.
The ‘nasne’ hub retails this summer in Japan. Programming can be streamed and store to various gizmos attached. It will be priced at ¥16,980 (£132 / $210).
”We are offering a seamless and unique Sony experience through ‘nasne,’ which serves as a home entertainment hub that connects to Sony’s various network products,” said CEO Kazuo Hirai. More and more consumers are using networked storage to store digital content to be viewed at their leisure.
”‘Nasne’ will give users more freedom to enjoy television in new ways by enabling them to watch programs on various Sony products through dedicated applications. We will continue to offer attractive products and services that inspire customers around the world and spark their curiosity, by further enhancing collaboration within Sony groups.”
