The latest patch for Divinity Original Sin 2, Patch v3.0.150.188, released yesterday, but many players say the patch is completely broken. Gamers have accused the patch of breaking mods, losing their progress, not fixing things that the patch says was fixed, and adding new bugs and problems to the title. Many are saying that they've had to roll back their game to the previous version to keep playing.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - How To Use Steam Workshop Mods With The GOG Version
Not feeling the modding scene? That's ok! There are plenty more great RPGs here
Most of the attention centres on Reddit, but the Patch Notes page and the forums. The patch launched yesterday and many issues have been identified so far, including:
- Bugs include Thievery gold values being wrong, Axes changing from one to two-handed, and Hotbars in Multiplayer getting wiped
- 'Fixed Tarquin’s location and dialog after finishing his quest line' isn't working for everyone
- Many mods on Steam are now broken, and the game will crash if players try to use them
- Progress potentially being lost
- Multiplayer for some doesn't work
- Polymorph and Summon skills not adding to Hotbar correctly
- Characters disappearing
- Looting now has an annoying sound effect. Not a bug but it's still something to complain about
