Mass Effect Andromeda May Or May Not Be Getting Additional DLC, But This Facebook Page Isn't The Decider

Though we don't have a shred of detail when it comes to Mass Effect: Andromeda's future DLC plans at the minute, it certainly isn't as dead in the water as yesterday's rumours suggested. Popping up through Facebook yesterday, fans began to fear for the worst. A company by the name of Sinclair Networks 'announced' that their work on Mass Effect: Andromeda DLC had been shelved with their 'team' shifting focus to Bioware's 'Anthem' instead.

While the news echoed EA's plans to put the Mass Effect franchise 'on haitus' following Andromeda's poor reception and player backlash, it wasn't necessarily true. For one, even Michael Gamble stated that he had never heard of Sinclair Studios in his life. Another developers, Fernando Melo, went on to explain that Bioware handle all their DLC/patchces in-house rather than having external companies handle the aftercare.

So what's going on? Who are Sinclair Studios? Well, for the time being at least, they're likely to be less than a collective and more of an individual looking to stir up trouble. Since this whole situation broke out, the page and post housing Sinclair Studios' 'statement' up and vanished. Convenient. With Bioware still not looking to explain its stance on continued support for Mass Effect: Andromeda, there's every chance the company is covering up information that never should have gone public. Judging from the 'vistitor posts' on the page, however, it really was just a small, local company looking to gain its 15 minutes of fame.
