Simon Chylinski, sound designer of Subnautica, has been let go from Unknown Worlds Entertainment. According to game director Charlie Cleveland, the company cut ties with the developer after several hateful statements were uncovered in social media.
In a statement to Kotaku, Cleveland explained: “Over the weekend we discovered that one of our team members had made many hateful statements online that are against our company values. After discussing the matter with him, we decided to stop working with him immediately.”

Apparently, Chylinski's many hateful and racist comments have been going under the radar for quite some time. From mocking gender with the attack helicopter joke to denying pay inequality, Chylinski opinions range from the debatable to the plain dead wrong (agreeing with Pew Die Pie is a clear sign you're not right). Chylinski also emulated Trump when it comes to racism against immigrants, used the tired old SJW tag, and proved absolutely unapologetic for his misguided behaviour. Unknown Worlds apparently weren't happy with what they saw, with Cleveland tweeting last weekend:
