The Hellraiser series has undergone significant changes over the decades. From the highs of its first few films to the gutter lows of some dreadful late-in-the-day sequels, the iconic imagery of Pinhead and his sadistic crew of Cenobites has remained strong. After a reboot film from David Bruckner, it was about time we got an actual Hellraiser game.
Enter Saber Interactive, no stranger to pulling off a successful horror film-to-game adaptation after World War Z, Ghostbusters, Evil Dead, and A Quiet Place all brought something to the bloodstained table.
In Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, there’s a brand new story in the Hellraiser canon. We’ll play as Aidan, a man who must use the power of a mysterious puzzle box – the Genesis Configuration – to help his girlfriend Sunny escape from the otherworldly hellscape of the Labyrinth.
We’ll wield the terrible power of the box to survive a bargain with the infamous Pinhead and to battle a cult devoted to the Cenobites.
A Hellraiser game is an exciting prospect (in a grim sort of way), so we’re all eager to know what the Hellraiser: Revival release date is, and what sights it has to show us. Let’s see what we know so far:

As expected, Hellraiser: Revival is going for the Halloween crowd (the occasion, not the film or the game that comes out in September) as the release date has been set for October 8, 2026.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Gameplay
The glimpse we’ve seen of Hellraiser: Revival’s gameplay is in a first-person perspective and features typical grisly imagery.
It’s looking like a mixture of Condemed’s grimy, intimate combat and Amnesia’s hellish horrors. If it plays out half as well as those games, we’ll be in for a treat.
As the developer delved deeper into how Hellraiser plays, we learned that dismemberment plays a major role in its melee combat while, when we’re not violently dispatching foes, we’ll have to figure out the solutions to all manners of strange and grotesque puzzles.
We’ll face different types of enemies, including human foes belonging to the Scarlet Church and the monstrous Unworthy, people who failed Cenobite tests.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Story
Story-wise, Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival follows protagonist Aidan, who must tap into the powers of a mysterious puzzle box called the Genesis Configuration to rescue his girlfriend from “the otherworldly hellscape of the Labyrinth.”
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival Platforms and Price

There are two editions to choose from. The game’s digital and physical Standard Edition will be available to pre-order soon for $39.99. A $49.99 Deluxe Edition will also be available to pre-order before release. Full details on the Deluxe Edition’s contents will be revealed closer to launch.
Players who pre-order any edition of Hellraiser: Revival will unlock the exclusive in-game Labryrinth Pistol Skin and Martyr Sawblade Skin at release.
