Multiplayer games don't always have to be competitive. Sometimes taking on challenges alongside a friend or more can provide as much, or even more, fun and entertainment as a competitive multiplayer game. While co-op titles rarely match the overall popularity of their competitive counterparts, the category still counts a number of masterpieces in its ranks.
Heading into South Korea early this year, Blizzard announced StarCraft Remastered - a spuced up, HD version of the original strategy classic that retains its aesthetic while making it more appealing for newer hardware.
Blizzard had other galactic plans in motion outside of StarCraft, reveals Stay Awhile and Listen author David Craddock, whose book explores former devs time at Blizzard Entertainment.
The studio split into two teams after Diablo 2, reveals Craddock, and one "started and scrapped" many ideas. Someone came up with a Diablo sci-fi clone, codenamed 'Starblo'.
