MechWarrior 4: Mercenaries Reviews

This is, by far, the best of the Mechwarrior serie! Maybe the story is not so deep, you are only the leader of a mercenary company trying to make money out of the war betweeen the feudal houses of the battletech universe, but, heck, everything else is top of the line! Great musics (heavy metal of course!), perfect audio (very immersive radio chatting to the excellent arena radio speaker, the mighty Duncan Fisher!!), wonderful mech costumization, good managment options between battles and much more.
Great game indeed!
Microsoft this time gave you the opportunity to walk around in huge powered suits of armour blasting your enemies to death. Good stuff.
As for the Mechwarrior 2 game, this time you got to sell your services across known space, either supporting the Davion or Steiner faction in the FedCom Civil War. I never actually managed to figure out how to get to the end supporting the Steiners, but I'm sure it was as good an ending as the battle across Tharkad for Peter Steiner.
Lots of good graphics here, and a very real feel of the images that the books conjure up. Well worthwhile as a game, if you liked the Mechwarrior simulations.
