Super Meat Boy creator claims EA fired Plants Vs Zombies designer for objecting to Pay-To-Win [UPDATE: May Only Be Partially True]
Edmund McMillen, the creator of Super Meat Boy, says that EA fired Plants Vs Zombies creator George Fan for refusing to help turn the sequel into a Pay-To-Win mobile title.
Forget the large cheese wheels plaguing all of Thedas, ashave included a cheeky Easter Egg in their Dragon Age: Inquisition codex for something known as "Plants vs. Corpses".
If that wasn't enough this battle between demon-raised corpses and apostate-summoned plant life takes place at "Pauper's Cap", giving a nice place in Thedas forPlants vs. Zombies.
Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition is now available for free. Part of EA's 'On the House' promotion, the deal only lasts until May 28, so grab it soon if you want it.
EA's PopCap studio, the developers behind Plants vs. Zombies, has just lost between 30 to 40 members of staff according to sources. General Manager John Vechey confirms the "painful" loss of colleagues.
However it was "also necessary" for the studio to remain "on course with our future plans". Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare recently released on console to good reviews.
