It seems the leak for Sony’s plans in 2009 are a touchy subject for the firm as president David Reeves is said to have emailed staffers reminding them of NDAs.
Sony resists commenting directly on anything that spilled out of the SCEE conference held in London, except that there are ”no plans for a price reduction on PS3” in March.
”There are no plans for a price reduction on PS3 in March 09, and anything reported on or discussed otherwise is purely rumor or speculation,” said a Sony rep.
It looks like Sony’s European brass might be on a bit of a witch hunt to plug the leaker and make an example out of them. Being reminded of what your contract includes in an email from the big boss is never a good sign, if true of course.
