Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has nominated Media Molecule’s outstanding LittleBigPlanet as the most significant creative innovation of 2008 in C&binet's (Creative and Business International Network) review of the creative economy.
C&binet is a forum for leaders from both the commercial and creative industries to come together and inspire new ideas and opportunities.
“LittleBigPlanet has outstanding creative vision. It’s from a British start-up studio and is one of the defining titles on Japan's Sony PS3,” said Molyneux.
LittleBigPlanet has sold 1.3 million copies since release, 200,000 of which have been bought in the UK.
Developer Media Molecule was set up by former Lionhead staff that released the platformer cum level design tool in November of last year to massive critical praise.
