Developer Funcom will be including a Veteran reward system in Age of Conan when the next game update is made live to the servers. It basically rewards long-time subscribers.
The longer you’ve been subscribing to the MMO the more Veteran points you accrue, which can then be spent with special Veteran vendor NPCs. Point awards jump after six month milestones.
”Players will be awarded new veteran points for each month that they have paid for (whether it is through subscription or game-cards),” posted game director Craig Morrison.
”Each month that a player pays for will accrue a certain number of points, with the number of points awarded each week (months I guess?) growing after each six-month period they have subscribed for.”
Veteran reward items don’t offer players a powerful edge, just ”convenience and social items” like teleports and size changing potions for example. A lot more is detailed on the upcoming Veteran System on the official website.
A new ”80 team instance” called The Iron Tower will also be including in the next patch.
