The pirated copy making the Torrent rounds is a ”buggy, pre-final build” that’s missing an entire city says EA. The PC exclusive is due for actual release on June 2nd, with no DRM.
”The pirated version is a buggy, pre-final build of the game,” EA’s Holly Rockwood tells Bloomberg. ”It’s not the full game. Half the world - an entire city - is missing from the pirated copy.”
EA’s Spore was downloaded 500,000 times illegally within it’s first ten days and was declared 2008’s most pirated title. Is it possible that EA accepts that piracy of The Sims 3 is inevitable and so decided to ‘leak’ a pre-final build to confuse and befuddle the illegal community?
