THQ's Danny Bilson says it won't be there "unless it's awesome" by then, but it'll definitely be "awesome in the fall" when it releases to the world.
The publisher has a game that Microsoft are "really excited about that we haven't announced," revealed core games VP Bilson, speaking with CVG. "It's making awesome use of the Natal technology."
"Let me put it this way", it's wanted big time at the world premiere this E3, he said. "I won't put it in unless it's awesome on that date. It will be awesome in the fall, but if it's not awesome for that event, I'm not putting it in there."
Previously the THQ boss has said they'll be holding off on any major videogame project for the motion platform, until its install base matures. "Obviously - and you've probably seen this in your whole life in gaming - the first stuff is always the first struggle with new technology or new code or software. Iteration is the magic of the business," he said.
"It's inevitable that the stuff will get better and better over time. But remember, I'm the hardcore games group so I have one really awesome Natal project. Our other group has a bunch in the more family and kids area - because that's what a lot of that is."
What 'hardcore game' could Bilson and THQ be cooking up for Natal? Surely they won't take the easy route of sports, like boxing or UFC? Give us something off the wall. Surely there's nothing more awesome than a T-Rex fighter jet pilot? Make that game - please!
