We play as Darius Mason, grandson of Guerrilla's Alec Mason. This time around the enemy is the planet itself, and we must save mankind.
No Mars doesn't somehow go all Death Star on us or anything, but as Darius we accidentally trigger some native fauna back to life and it goes on a bit of a rampage. THQ have aired a trailer showing us the mineshaft antics we get to go back too.
It also gives a glimpse of the improved GeoMod 2.0 tech that Volition put together for Guerrilla. Oh if you wondering why we're back in the mines... it's because the terraforming project of Mars' surface didn't go so well. Fiddlesticks.
Red Faction: Armageddon releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in March 2011.
