Yves Guillemot is boss of Ubisoft, and he’s revealed that their disaster-survival game ‘I Am Alive’ has been pushed way back to be remade.
It’s now using the same engine as Splinter Cell: Conviction. It won’t be out until next fiscal year, which starts for Ubisoft April 1st, 2011.
”We have totally re-engineered I Am Alive. It’s still on the way, it’s going to use the Splinter Cell engine,” Guillemot said, reports CVG. ”We have amortized all the costs that were incurred with the previous developer.” I Am Alive was originally at developer Darkworks, but was then moved over to Ubisoft Shanghai.
”Everything we do is fresh now on that product and we think it can be very good quality, but it’s not going to come this financial year.” It’s going to be quite the wait, videogamer.
