Right now Gaikai is enjoying an open beta period with testers sampling EA and BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 over the service. It will compete with OnLive.

Gaikai intends to use no external hardware unlike OnLive which retails its MicroConsole unit soon for use wth TVs. They’re both cloud streaming platforms which have powerful servers running videogames for you, streaming the content to your home.
