It offers ”alternative gameplay” says the studio, from the primary storytelling and questing. We can visit galactic ”hot spots” to ”evoke” Star Wars.

”In space combat, you fly your personal ship to various “hot spots” on your galaxy map. From there, you will blast your way through asteroid fields, enemy fighters, frigates, destroyers, and a variety of other obstacles that will evoke memories of some of the great Star Wars™ space battles.” PC Gamer’s October 2010 issue will have more.

Star Wars: The Old Republic releases exclusively on PC in early 2011.
