Takeuchi-san is busy elsewhere in the Capcom kingdom, and firstly Japanese devs have a lot "we must do" to change for the better he says.
"I'm not involved in Resident Evil 6. There's actually a number of things I want to do," Takeuchi-san told 4Gamer, translated andriasang. He's not jumping onto some other videogame project right away though, it appears internal decisions need to be made.
"If I say it like that, it might be taken as 'next game,' but before reaching the step of making a game, we -- Japanese developers -- have a lot of things that we must do. To begin, I have a number of things I'd like to do related to Capcom as a whole," he added.
He'll be out of the public eye for a while but don't fret, "This year's Capcom is very interesting. The titles we'll announce in the future will surprise many people. We'll be announcing this year the things that Inafune (Keiji) and I have been working on over the past year."
Did you enjoy Resident Evil 5? It was a major departure from the original formula that made the horror series what it was, but Capcom have slowly been drifting away from that for some time. What hopes do you have for RE6?
