Wow… and they say there are no surprises anymore in this industry.
In light of recent events, one would be valid in… questioning, Bungie’s choice of partner, but on the bright this will mean some multi-platform releases for a change. All you PS3 owners can finally experience a Bungie title on your own console.
Let’s hope Activision aren’t as heavy-handed with Bungie’s new IP as they seem to have been with Call of Duty/Modern Warfare, although apparently the studio will retain the rights to the intellectual property, so fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, the Halo: Reach beta is set to kick off today for a lucky few, whilst the rest of the world will be joining in on the action come May 4th. Reach is Bungie’s last Halo game before Microsoft’s new internal studio, 343 Industries, takes over the IP.
Fancy that.
