Publisher Square Enix has reported a huge drop in sales and earnings for the nine months leading to December 31st. Profits fell sharply by 76.6 percent. The good news is that Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2 each managed over a million sales during those three quarters. They managed sales of £742.3m so far this fiscal year, but that's down 27.5 percent from the same period last year. Profits scraped by with £13.8m as they miss a huge 76.6 percent chunk. Square Enix has dropped their earnings forecast by 91.7 percent! Final Fantasy XIV's poor performance and the delay of Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex: Human Revolution are partly to blame for the now very lacklustre fiscal year. |
