Microsoft’s Xbox Live Rewards launched in the United States and United Kingdom last December, and spread to Canada. Microsoft has announced that Australian and New Zealand gamers would be eligible for the service. This was tweeted by Xbox Australia rep Ashley Jenkins.
Microsoft instituted the service to encourage gamers to buy Xbox Live Marketplace content and engage in surveys to earn points towards discounts and free purchases. Details on the service can be seen on the official site here.
