Microsoft has issued a press release stating that the library of Kinect-enabled titles will triple by the end of the year. "And in anticipation of another record year in 2011, Microsoft announced the size of the Kinect games portfolio will triple by the end of the year," trumpeted the presser.
There are currently 26 Kinect games available on the market, and 26 more games that are known to be in development. Either Microsoft is exaggerating, or 26 more unannounced titles are being worked on. We'll know more when E3 starts in June.
According to Microsoft product manager David Dennis: "We've seen some of the media start to ask the question, 'When are we going to see more Kinect games coming? As we sat there and looked at it we realized we've got a lot of games coming and we're going to show a lot of them at E3."
Some of the higher profile Kinect games coming down the pike include the Rez spiritual sequel Child of Eden and Twisted Pixel's The Gunstringer.
