Ubisoft: Beyond Good & Evil 2 and I Am Alive not canceled

When Ubisoft announced that it had canceled a few projects, the rumor was that long delayed titles Beyond Good & Evil 2 and I Am Alive were among the casualties. However, Ubisoft issued a statement reassuring the press, ”Terminated projects were unannounced projects,” meaning neither game was canceled.

The rumor started on Thursday, Ubisoft announced in its financial report: ”Ubisoft has taken measures to adapt its structure to major changes in the industry by reorganising the roles and operations of its studios, which has resulted in the termination of certain projects.”

I Am Alive has had a rocky development, going from a full retail title to a digital release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network due last April. Meanwhile, aside from a years old trailer, nothing new has been reported on Beyond Good & Evil 2.
