The 'reboot' title DMC which showcased last September at the Tokyo Game Show has been kept under wraps. Svensson asks to keep "expectations in check".
Ninja Theory is developing the new Devil May Cry - DMC - and it visits the origins of the game's main star Dante. It caused something of a schism in the fan base with one lot praising the bold idea and change of pace, while the other denounced the entire project.
"Maybe, we’ll see,” said Christian Svensson, asked if DMC will be gracing E3 2011. "You’re going have to wait and see.” There are no big reveals from Capcom this June.
"We’d like to probably keep our E3 plans a bit closer to the vest,” he added.
“I don’t know that we’ll be shocking anyone with what we’re talking about at E3. Most of our major announcements were made at Captivate. There’ll be some light shed on things that we previously announced that we didn’t show much of at Captivate, updates for some things we did show at Captivate."
“But keep your expectations in check and everyone will probably come out happy. That doesn’t mean that we won’t have more things to talk about in the not so distant future, just to set expectations,” said Svensson. Watch the Ask Capcom Live video below.
DMC releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 with no release date announced yet.
