You know there’s ”something going on” behind the scenes that doesn’t ”enhance” the play experience. Crysis 2 suffered a major leak well ahead of launch.
”I know there’s a lot of negative feelings toward DRM,” said executive producer Natham Camarillo. ”But, I mean, what are we supposed to do? The actions of a few are causing maybe a mild inconvenience for others.”
”If I’m playing a game and it has DRM on it, do I notice? Not really. I just know that there’s something going on, but doesn’t really enhance my play experience. So, it’s something that we’ll have to look at in the future.”
A month old version of Crysis 2 leaked online with the game reportedly playable from start to finish. Crytek said it worried them only because people commenting on glitches and bugs could put off gamers from buying the finished retail build of the game.
Crysis 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC tomorrow in the US, this Friday in EU.
