Why? Well because there’s nothing to buy that lets you access the multiplayer on the EU PlayStation Store. First-hand copies come with codes that work fine.
UPDATE: Warner states F.E.A.R. 3’s multiplayer DLC pack will be on PSN tomorrow. ”The F.E.A.R. 3 multiplayer modes ‘F**king Run!’ and ‘Soul Survivor’ will be available for fans to purchase on PSN from tomorrow,” said a representative. EU PS3 fans get justice.

The problem is that while codes let you have access to the day one ‘First Purchaser Maps and Modes’ pack, second-hand users don’t have the option to buy it through the PlayStation Store, which means you’re cut off from the online portion of the game.
”The F.E.A.R. Pass providing access to F.E.A.R. 3 multiplayer modes ‘F**king Run!’ and ‘Soul Survivor’ is not currently available for purchase on the SCEE PSN Store,” confirmed publisher Warner Brothers. Xbox 360 copies are fine as the pack is on Xbox Live to buy.
”However, players who have purchased the game new and have the F.E.A.R. Pass code that was included with their retail copy ARE currently able to download these modes as instructed on the DLC card that was delivered with the original packaging.”
”We’re working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue.” Warner hasn’t being having too good a time with the European PlayStation Network lately as last week fans of Mortal Kombat were outraged at DLC missing and it’s inflated pricing for EU PS3 gamers.
F.E.A.R. 3 released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC last week.
