The beta includes two maps from the Tutorial Campaign, then players get to try the Sanctuary faction in ‘The Fury and the Mire’ campaign map, which will allow players to check out the new environments, the land of the Nagas and other useful units, powers and cultures.
The multiplayer map will feature an updated version of the classic Heroes of Might & Magic II map, Broken Alliance, where human players are fighting against three computer players for resource filled regions. The map will allow players to control the Inferno, Necropolis and Stronghold factions.
The beta will introduce fans of the series to The Conflux, an online tool integrated into the game to extend players experience and allow players to create online profiles to share and compare achievements and progress, build up a dynasty of heroes and customize them with special dynasty weapons and traits, and access the Altar of Wishes for exclusive bonuses. The Conflux, which can only be accessed online, is not intended as DRM; Might & Magic Heroes VI will be fully accessible offline.
Might & Magic Heroes VI will be released in North America on September 6 and Europe on September 8.
Ubisoft released a beta trailer to mark the occasion. Check it out in the video below.
