In French developer Dontnod Entertainment’s Remember Me we play as female lead Nilin, who can access and change memories at will in this sci-fi action game. Remember that ‘Rain’ trademark?
This game is the same as the alleged ‘Rain’ from Sony. In Remember Me memories have become a tradable commodity and Nelin is employed by a resistance group. Gameplay footage has been shown.
The Errorists are a rebel group looking to bring about the downfall of Memoreyes, a company responsible for the method of recording and trading of memories.
It seems what we’re shown is the same as what leaked a little while ago for something Sony trademarked as ‘Rain’. However the whole project is a Capcom affair. It’s an intriguing sounding game as one part showed Nilin affecting a target’s memories of his wife. We could either convince him he threatened his spouse with a gun on safety, or that he killed her which results in guilt driving him to suicide.
Words like Deus Ex, Syndicate and Uncharted are being thrown about. Dontnod is made up of former Criterion, Ubisoft and EA developers. Remember Me releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in May 2013. Debut trailer below.
