EA Australia has announced BioWare’s licensed MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic will land on Australian shores on the 1st March, along with Asian territories. Last September, Electronic Arts revealed that Australia would not be in the initial launch of the MMO, which included North America and 20 European countries.
The 1st March launch will include Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Gamers in those regions who already have an account can have their account migrated to the Asia Pacific server for free up til the 28th February.
The Old Republic launched on the 20th December in Western territories, and received generally enthusiastic reviews. Strategy Informer awarded the game a 9.0/10 score in its review.
