PlayStation 3 gamers in Europe who are anxiously awaiting The Last of Us will find that the EU version will not be the same game when it launches on the 13th November.
According to a post by Naughty Dog, “The gore and violence ratings are subject to local regulatory boards in various countries, so the game must be slightly changed in order to accommodate those choices. If you import the North/South American version, it will not be censored, but EU/UK will be.”
Since the PlayStation 3 is not region-locked, PS3 gamers may wish to import that version of the game if they want the uncut version of the game. The single-player campaign is completely uncharged, so the gore removal may just be for multiplayer.
