Every month there’ll be ”a list of contracts in the Cartel Bazaar” for players to browse through and accept. These contracts will take you ”far and wide” as you hunt your underworld targets.
BioWare explain the process involved which includes making contact with certain underworld assets who ”may be persuaded to assist” in the hunt.
For those who prove themselves professional enough in hunting down scumbags across the galaxy, special ‘Kingpin’ bounties will become available. Each day a standard and a Kingpin contract may be taken, with each target likely on separate worlds. The objective is to capture or kill them, however you’re also ”rated on your investigative technique and your aptitude for handling BBA underworld resources.” The BBA is the Bounty Brokers Association.
”The Bounty Broker’s Association is an unaffiliated corporate conglomerate that exists to streamline and standardize the process of posting and fulfilling bounty contracts. Contracts are available to characters at level 15+, and although contracts on some planets have a minimum level requirement, each contract will scale its difficulty and rewards to your level.”
It’s yet another way that BioWare is looking to inject some more life and fanfare in The Old Republic. Star Wars has a rich bounty hunting vein to tap and it’s about time it was exploited by the free-to-play MMO. More info here.
