Bioware discussed the overhauled dialog system that will be featured in Dragon Age: Inquisition at PAX Australia 2013, promising more depth than just “binary choices”.
For example, the player’s stats or active companions will add to the dialog choices (much like Dragon Age: Origins), while choices will have a bigger role in influencing the events of the game (much like the Mass Effect games.) BioWare is also looking into reducing the discrepancy between what the text options states and what a character actually says.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is due to be released in 2014 on PC and consoles.
