XCOM creator and pioneer of the strategy genre Julian Gollop has been working on a follow-up to his classic fantasy title Chaos, and thanks to a new trailer we now know when you can get your hands on it.
Kickstarted successor Chaos Reborn will head to Steam Early Access on December 9, and judging by this colourful in-game footage it’s already coming along nicely.
The original Chaos was released on the ZX Spectrum way back in 1985, and the sequel updates its wizard vs wizard gameplay with fancy modern graphics and online multiplayer. Gollop sums up what to expect rather succinctly on the game’s Kickstarter page: “It is all about summoning a host of weird and mythical creatures, moving and fighting with them, and using your wizard to attack, defend, buff and de-buff with large array of spells.”
You can pre-order the game over on its official website, where you’ll also find some more detail on the game’s systems and features. There’s four pre-order tiers to choose from, each with increasingly hefty rewards.
