The Talos Principle is inspired by philosophical science fiction, and features a story written by FTL scribe Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes, writer of The Sea Will Claim Everything.
In the game you play a sentient artificial intelligence hovering about in a computer simulation of famous ruins, linked together by an "arcane cathedral". See, the weirdness has started already. You're tasked with solving a series of tricky puzzles, woven into "a metaphysical parable about intelligence and meaning in an inevitably doomed world."
If you're intrigued by all the metaphysics and philosophical sci-fi oddness, you can play a free mini-game prelude, called Sigils of Elohim, right now thorugh iTunes, Google Play and Steam.
