Turtle Rock has released a batch of tutorial videos for Evolve that detail each of the monster-hunting co-op game's multiplayer modes.
There's one each for Evacuation, Defend, Hunt, Nest, and Rescue. The most interesting of these is probably the multi-stage Evacuation mode.
In this one there are five successive maps, and actions completed in the preceding map carry repercussions over to the next; if the monster manages to destory a power plant, for example, the area will become flooded with poison gas when the next level comes around.
Sound interesting, almost like a miniature story campaign. Hopefully the developers make all these scripted events and variations feel different each time, and get them to really affect gameplay.
Others are more restrained variations on hostage rescue, deathmatch and base defence modes. Looks like a neat amount of content to look forward to when Evolve drops in February for PC and consoles.
