And now for the year’s least surprising news; Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will in fact be released on PC early next year.
Speaking to IGN, Ubisoft explained that Rogue took longer to develop for PC than consoles ”primarily for production reasons.”
What that actually means is anyone’s guess, but the news that Rogue is making its way to Windows isn’t much of a surprise; PSP title Liberation made the transition in January, meaning that every core game in the franchise is now available on PC in some form.
Rogue allows franchise baddies the Templars to have their chance to shine - you play Shay Patrick Cormac, a former assassin betrayed by the order who’s now out for revenge. Set in and around North America, you’ll be hunting down assassins with a variety of new tools, including a neat silenced air rifle/grenade launcher combo.
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue launches of last-gen consoles this November, with the PC version to follow on in ”early 2015.”
