We already know that old man Raiden will be taking part in next year’s Mortal Kombat X, alongside four all new characters.
According to series creator Ed Boon, however, we’ll also see a crossover DLC character in the vein of Mortal Kombat 2011’s Freddy Krueger and Kratos from God of War.
Speaking to Twitch streamer Madcatz, Boon revealed that NetherRealms Studio are already planning their DLC schedule. That schedule involves several in-franchise characters and a guest star from somewhere else in the pop culture cosmos.
Which opens up a few interesting possibilities. I’ve taken the liberty of selecting five potential candidates:
Begbie from Trainspotting - Fatality: Glasgow Kiss
Rust Cohle from True Detective - Fatality: Rambling Incoherence
Pikachu - Fatality: Pika-visceration
Gandalf - Fatality: Wizard’s Sleeve
Angela Merkel - Fatality: Fiscal Headlock
Mortal Kombat X is coming to PC and consoles in 2015.
