Creative Assembly’s sci-fi horror Alien: Isolation has been given a new trailer, showing off some gameplay as well as the bunch of awards the game received at E3 2014.
I'm excited enough for Isolation that I'm going to ignore the mildly annoying concept of releasing an 'accolades' trailer for a game that hasn't even been reviewed yet.
I'll tell you what though, by the look of it Creative Assembly have absolutely nailed the low-fi aesthetic of the original Alien. As someone who's watched it around three thousand times, it's pretty cool to see a developer taking inspiration from the 1979 film's slow-burning, claustrophobic horror rather than the (also great) gung-ho action of the sequel.
Fingers firmly crossed that Alien: Isolation will end up being the Alien game we deserve, when it comes out for PC and consoles this October 7.
