For the last few years, November 7 has been designated N7 Day by BioWare as a way to celebrate all things Mass Effect. This year, the studio is pulling out all the stops save one - there will be no announcements regarding their upcoming game Mass Effect: Andromeda.
The main theme this year is “what has Mass Effect meant to you”, as fans are encouraged to post on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook their thoughts on the series with the hashtag #N7Day, some of which BioWare will post on their own feed. The studio will also be playing the entirety of the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3 for the Extra Life charity, with fans getting the chance to make the decisions for the developers to follow.
But as for the highly anticipated fourth game in the series, BioWare noted, ”we won’t have any major announcements for Mass Effect: Andromeda this N7 Day.”
Not much is known about Mass Effect: Andromeda, except that it will take place long after the events of the original trilogy and, as the title states, will be taking place in the Andromeda Galaxy. There won’t be a Commander Shepard, of course, and BioWare hopes gamers will still give the game a chance without him. Andromeda is due to be released late next year.
