Bioware has dropped the first in-game trailer for upcoming expansion Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of The Fallen Empire, and it introduces The Outlander, the player's character in the brand new story.
This guy/gal is a veteran of the Great Galactic War, the galaxy-wide conflict that took place across the course of the main game. You can either play the same character you guided through the rest of, or choose to start from level 60 with a brand new hero.
Knights of The Fallen Empire is a concerted attempt from Bioware to inject a bit more of thefeel into the MMO, focusing on singleplayer story-telling rather than group content. I'm actually quite intrigued by it, though from this trailer it definitely seems like the story will fit force-using characters better - I can't quite imagine why the new bad guy would want a wise-cracking smuggler to join his evil empire.
Knights of The Fallen Empire is set for release this October, free for all subscribers. You can unlock a new companion and severalfor the story campaign by being a monthly subscriber on certain dates.
