Notorious Games has announced that their apocalyptic fantasy sandbox MMORPG Xsyon now has Welcome Stations, which are intended to familiarize new players with the game.
”Welcome Stations allow existing tribes to stage entrance areas for new players,” explained the studio, ”New players arrive at these stations where they can find nearby quests and items for sale and where they can leave messages and apply for tribe membership. Tribe leaders and members with permissions can manage the stations and accept new tribe members while they are offline.”
The developer went on to explain that the Welcome Station is a ”focal point” designed to draw in new players, as well as allow tribes to greet new players and help them expand their communities. It’s necessary because Xsyon is an entirely player-run economy and government.
Notorious Games also has announced that Xsyon is 50% off this week on Steam and on the official Xyson website.
