Jagex has introduced an Oceanic server for its upcoming online builder/shooter Block N Load, set for release next month, in response to what it calls a “growing community in the region.”
In addition to the new server, two new arena maps have also been added to the game - The Fun Factory and Sky Bridge.
Fun Factory is an industrial structure with multiple narrow links between different areas of the arena, which unsurprisingly become murderous killing fields as soon as you step on them. Jagex describes the map as “close-quarter combat heaven”, with huge, destructible smokestacks and tight, enclosed spaces.
Sky Bridge, meanwhile, is a bridge. In the sky. It apparently has multiple levels with support towers, and I imagine comabt here consists mostly of knocking people off the edge of the map to fall to their doom.
You can pre-order Block N Load on Steam now for 33% off the full retail price. Doing so will give you access to the ongoing closed beta, and let you try out these two new maps. If you’d rather try before you buy you can try and get hold of a beta key by signing up on the game’s website. Block N Load is set for release next month.
