Heroes & Villains mode (also known as Hero Assault) was one of the silliest ways to play Star Wars: Battlefront 2. It involved pitting the Hero characters from each faction against each other in a team or free-for-all deathmatch. Yoda would be doing backflips around Boba Fett, while Han Solo shot the Emperor in the face with a blaster. It was very daft.
And it's on the way back in DICE's upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront reboot. Reddit user thementorassassin16 (as reported by PCGamesN) has spotted the confirmation hidden amongst the text of the game's Spanish website. Here's a translation:
“In addition to Walker Assault, Star Wars Battlefront will feature immersive, fun-filled multiplayer modes including Supremacy, Fighter Squadron, Blast, Drop Zone, Cargo, and Heroes vs Villains mode, that will be announced in the months ahead. Stay tuned for more information on these exciting multiplayer modes.”
So there you go. Enjoy slicing off Lando Calrissian's awesome moustache with Darth Vader's lightsaber. If Lando's in the game, that is. Personally, I'm also pretty interested in Fighter Squadron mode, which considering the lack of space battles in the game is likely to be the closest we'll get to a new Star Wars dogfighting game for a while.
Star Wars: Battlefront is out this November 6 for PC and consoles.
