Amplitude Studios is working on Endless Space 2, a sequel to its 2012 space 4X game. To mark the occasion, the studio’s released a CGI trailer that’s got loads of space and stars and ships and stuff in it.
Okay, so it doesn’t tell us much about what will be in the new game, but it does link nicely into the extended Endless universe; that ship you see recently popped up (image courtesy of PC Gamer) in a free update for Endless Legend, Amplitude’s fantasy 4X spin-off.
Both games take place in the same setting, several thousand years apart. url=http://forums.amplitude-studios.com/content.php?544-Endless-Legend-Updates-and-Expansions-plan]The update[/url] in question added a new Victory Condition that allowed players to build a spaceship and escape into the stars, and its presence in the new trailer suggests that Amplitude is going to start making some more obvious connections between the various games set in this universe.
That’s al we know at the moment, but expect more information at Gamescom next week. Check out the official website for more info.
