Having trouble on ‘The Saboteur’ mission in Battleborn? Don’t worry, it’s not your fault. Gearbox have acknowledged the high difficulty of the mission; the developers intend on fixing ‘The Saboteur’ in the next update.
‘The Saboteur’ mission has players defending waves of enemies at specific points in the map. The mission in its current state ramps up the difficulty right near the end, sending large waves of powerful enemies directly to the objective. Randy Varnell took to the Gearbox message boards to address the situation. In his post he wrote the following message:
“Just a quick note here - I believe that this is too hard, especially on Normal difficulty.
We will be making an adjustment to this mission in a future patch. No ETA yet, but it's definitely coming.”
In my experience, my five-man team had almost successfully completed the mission until the last wave of enemies showed up. None of my teammates died, the enemies simply attacked the objective directly by avoiding all five of us on the level. There is very little you can do to avoid this, though some players on the Gearbox message boards have suggested bringing Isic along to absorb lots of damage.
Our Battleborn review should go up sometime within the next week. As we are playing the PC version of the game, we were not given any special access prior to the game releasing this Tuesday. If we reviewed the console version of the game, there would be a review up by now as those copies did not suffer with the same restriction.
