Fans of the Souls games will know FROM Software are incredibly frustrating when it comes to patch notes, in that they hate to release detailed information when noting changes to the game. Thankfully a dataminer, Textralia on Reddit, has looked through the files for changes and has created his own set of patch notes.
Some of the biggest changes come to the Dagger subclass. A lot of weapons have been upgraded by almost 20% in some instances. Here are some of the changes the dagger weapons have received:
• Parrying Dagger - 10%
• Dagger - 5%
• Mail Breaker - 10%
• Bandit’s Knife - 5%
• Harpe - 10%
• Rotten Ghru Dagger - 10%
• Corvian Greatknife - 10%
• Handmaid’s Dagger - 7%
• Scholar’s Candlestick - 10%
• Tailbone Short Sword - 5%
• Brigand Twindaggers - 20%
For all you dual wielding maniacs out there, you’ll be happy to know your weapons have been buffed. Please note that AR means attack rating.
• Brigand Twindaggers - 20% increase in listed AR
• Gotthard Twinswords - Potentially an increase in Guardbreak damage (currently at 45 however I don’t have historical values)
• UPDATE Increase in stamina costs for all L1 attacks of all twin weapons (listed below) however damage has also been re-balanced on these attacks where necessary. Credit to /u/Zer0Hour17 and /u/sentinel808 for confirming.
• No changes in base AR for Dancer’s Enchanted Swords, Winged Knight Twinaxes, Onikiri and Ubadachi, Warden Twinblades, Drang Twinspears, Sellsword Twinblades or Gotthard Twinswords.
A big thanks goes to Textralia and everyone on Reddit that contributed to these patch notes. Without you guys in the community we would have to work out all of this manually, and everyone knows how difficult that is.
