It’s easy to see why modders still work out new designs and creations for the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim so many years after it’s released. There’s a wealth of new and emerging content to go through, but we’re putting the highlight on two recent releases in particular. One allows you to bring Alice through the looking glass and into Skyrim and the other is a toolset that allows you to create your very own animated scenes for the game.
The first mod on our spotlight, titled Alice Madness Returns, is a creation by users ThisTimeIBeAGoodGirlSir & Yourskyrim123. It features Alice from the Wonderland novels based on her appearance in the dark and gothic action video game, Alice: Madness Returns. This mod brings the dark and twisted central character of American McGee’s creation into the Skyrim world to act as a new NPC follower for your adventures.
Alice comes armed with a unique dagger and is a one handed conjurer with unique spells. Specifically, Alice’s signature spell is Madness. She can conjure her insane persona into a physical entity to fight beside her and you. In addition, Alice is marriable, doesn’t affect the stealth meter, and will scale to your level based upon when you find her, making her a worthy asset to your war on dragons and whatever else offends you. Head over here to pick it up.
Second up on our spotlight is an extensive tool set called OSA - Skyrim Ascendancy Engine. This one comes to us from Ceo and features an amazingly creative set of tools for those of you who fancy yourself the creative type. With this set of animations, UI upgrades, and unique personality modifiers, you can now create new animated scenes in Skyrim supporting from one up to an impressive nine characters in any given scene.
Originally OSA was used for more intimate scenes and still features those functions fully. However, updates to the system make it capable of doing much more. It even features built-in functionality to help players towards building scenes for their own full quest mods. With this in mind, it may be one of the most complex Skyrim mod to cater to both regular players and mod creators alike. OSA can be found over here
We’ve brought each of these mods over to the GameWatcher Skyrim Mod Database where you can not only these two, but a multitude of other creative mods as well. Everything from reskins, new followers, weapons, armors, overhauls, and new quests can be found there to name a few. With the Special Edition remake of Skyrim on the way, we expect the modding community is only going to continue to get more active, so have a look and we’ll be sure to put the best of the best within your reach!
