It’s been almost four years since the amazing Dishonored graced our lives. For the first time since Dishonored 2’s reveal, Bethesda and Arkane Studios have finally shown off some gameplay footage of their latest game. Dishonored 2 looks just as good as the first game, this time sporting Bethesda’s new Void engine (based off id Tech 5).
Dishonored 2 allows players to take control of either Corvo Attano, the protagonist in the first game, or Emily Kaldwin, Carvo’s daughter and rightful heir to the throne of the Isles. Unlike the original game, Corvo has been given a voice, and that voice is being provided by Stephen Russell, known by a lot of players as Garrett in the Thief series.
The gameplay footage reveals just how large Arkane Studio’s latest game is. The first Dishonored game took place in relatively small areas that were joined together. Dishonored 2 seems far more open, and with so many different abilities to use there are even more opportunities for creative assassinations.
If you haven’t played the original Dishonored, go do yourself a favour and check it out. Read our review if you haven’t really heard of the game by clicking here. Chris Capel gave the game an excellent 9 out of 10 . Seriously, you are doing yourself a disservice by ignoring the game.
